Executive Summary
Dr. Palese focuses on Railroad Engineering, with a primary interest in structural mechanics, inspection, maintenance planning and data science applications for all facets of railway asset and inspection data. He has over 30 years of experience in the railway industry doing fundamental research and developing software applications for railway infrastructure maintenance planning. He holds several patents and has developed railway infrastructure inspection systems. He is an accomplished author and current research efforts are focused on determining the underlying relationships between asset failure modes using readily available inspection and asset data.
